Bio

Emily Loveless combines the storytelling lyrics of folk music with the drive and rhythms of gospel and funk. Her melodies are glittered with a stylistic sweetness and catchy phrases that draw the listener close. Emily's grooving tunes paired with her genuine lyrics allow for people to cut loose and feel the music as well as hear it. Her love of performance has only grown with the addition of her original songs, but thoroughly enjoys adding her own spin to songs written by artists who have gone before.

Canadian grown, Emily has spent the majority of her life thriving in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains. However, her musical journey started before her settlement in the West. From KinderMusic and Royal Conservatory to worship teams to Carnegie Hall, Emily has had incredible musical opportunities to sing in choirs, lead hundreds in worship, and plug inspiration into the hearts of young musicians. She graduated from the Music and Worship Arts program at Prairie College under the mentorship of Juno award-winning songwriter Brian Doerksen. Her time at Prairie helped Emily solidify her style and sound, enabling her to express her creativity from the depths of her heart.

Emily’s latest project, “Here We Go” is a collection: of cherished memories, the woman she strives to be, and of the friend she hopes she is. Filled with deep and honest love, her songs connect story to reality, either though her own lyrical choices and melodic prowess, or through the rediscovery of someone else’s. Her album features her cover of the Beatles hit “All My Loving”.
